It supports Dolby Atmos and DTS:X and has HDMI eARC plus one HDMI 2.1 input. Wi-Fi and AirPlay 2 are built in. It works with any TV that has HDMI ARC, so it is a good choice for Samsung owners who want DTS:X in a single bar. What Hi-Fi reports a launch price of $999 and typical street prices of around $850.

The Sonos Playbase from our older list has been discontinued since 2020. The current top Sonos soundbar is the Arc Ultra. It supports Dolby Atmos (but not DTS formats) and connects to the TV only through HDMI eARC.

It has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3 and AirPlay 2, and it can become part of a multi-room Sonos system. You can add a Sonos subwoofer and rear speakers later. What Hi-Fi lists it at $999.
